The 2016 – 2021 strategy states that the University needs to introduce new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to address any void in the labour market, including programmes aligned with Agenda 2063 and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) required in the Southern African development community (SADC) Industrialization Strategy. Deep Learning IndabaX 2023

The Department will be hosting its IndabaX with support from Deep Learning Indaba consortium, Centre for Financial Inclusion , Central Bank of Eswatini, Financial Services Regulatory Authority, Eswatini Revenue Service, Royal Science and Technology Park, and Eswatini Communications Commission. The aim of the workshop is to support local researchers in Eswatini to enhance and strengthen local and international links for future collaboration, build research capacity and improve the students and young researchers’ career opportunities.

Hackathon Eswatini 2019

ICT Fair 2019

25th - 26th October, 2019

The University of Eswatini (UNESWA) together with Royal Science & Technology Park (RSTP), the Ministry of ICT and the Ministry of Education and Training realised the need to create ICT awareness in the Kingdom of Eswatini as an economic driver in attaining His Majesty's Vision 2022. The ICT Fair was initiated in 2017, to provide a platform for students, individuals and business players in the ICT industry to get an opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas, products and services to the community. Therefore, the ICT Fair even allows kids, individuals and students to contest in various competitions such as programming contests, innovation contests and gaming contests to stimulate their ICT passion. In addition to that, professionals in science, technology, engineering and mathematics engage in Information Technology (IT) seminars pertaining current technological opportunities, benefits, challenges, issues and as well as policies.
